Sziget returns this year to Budapest, Hungary on an island on the Danube and boasts more than 1000 performances per year. The festival also offers other activities such as tattooing, theatre, football, bungee jumping, and cinema (among other activites).

Past acts have included Iggy Pop, The Prodigy, The Stone Roses, David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Faithless, Oasis, The Cure, Muse, Robert Plant, Tool, The Chemical Brothers, and loads others. More importantly, however, the festival provides a huge range of different genres through a blues stage, a jazz tent, a world music stage, as well as the main stage. So if you're not a massive fan of the larger rock acts, there's always something else going on that'll keep you excited.

So if you're looking for an alternative to Glastonbury this year, the Sziget might be just what you're looking for. With a vast array of genres and always something to get stuck into, it's bound to be a great experiece. So, if I've convinced you, check out the official website , check out the information in the Sziget menu, and check out the forum to check out discussions on Sziget.
