Hurricane Festival takes place each year in Scheeßel, Germany and has done since 1973. The festival is promoted by German TV channel VIVA (similar to MTV) and has historically provided a line-up of alternative music for Hurricane-goers, possibly become more mainstream over the last few years.

 Sticking with it's history of alternative music, Hurricane has an impressive list of previous acts that have played the festival. Names that stand out include Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, and many others. Like most festivals, Hurricane  has a number of stages in different areas of the festival arena with a number of activities dotted around including bungee jumping!
