Since it's first outing in the summer of 2005, Nova Rock has been a popular festival in Austria and Europe as a whole. The event returns to Burgenland, near Nickelsdorf this June and going by current confirmed acts and last year's line-up, promises to be as popular as ever. 

 

 

In 2007, headliners included The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, and The Killers (among others) and other bands performing that year included Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Reel Big Fish, Incubus, The Hives, and many more. Other bands in the past that have appeared include Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Placebo, Tool, Green Day, The Prodigy, System of a Down, and loads others. Nova Rock is therefore by all means up there with other festivals in Europe concerning quality of headliners and other acts at a very reasonable price.
