Although some may argue that Oxegen is 'kind of a UK festival', they're wrong. If anyone claims this and you argue back, feel free to reference this site in your defence. Anyway, about Oxegen. Oxegen is an Irish festival (and therefore qualifies for this site!) which takes place at the Punchtown Racecourse in Country Kidare, Ireland. Running under the name 'Oxegen' since 2004, the festival was once called Witnness and held it's first music fest in the summer of 2000, sponsored by Guinness.

The festival has recently expanded to 3 days instead of the original 2. This, if general logic serves me well, means more bands! Hooray! And looking at previous line-ups, there is definitely reason to be excited. Last year saw Muse, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Daft Punk, Interpol, Razorlight, and Kings of Leon take the stage, with many others supporting. If this doesn't get you salivating, then looking even further back brings up names such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, Placebo, The Who, Foo Fighters, and Green Day.

Unlike a number of European festivals featured on this site, you've probably already heard of or even been to Oxegen before. Therefore, you'll probably have a good idea of whether you want to go this year or not. HOWEVER, if you're not one of these people, then great! This is what euroFestival.co.uk is here for! Check out the numerous links to the left, check the forum for discussions on Oxegen, and generally broaden your knowledge on this awesome festival!
